We drove up to Ventura today for Eli's piano recital and Lucas' birthday party. I didn't get a picture of Eli during the recital but I got him practicing in the store beforehand. One of his songs was The Entertainer which I remember my mom playing on our piano when I was young.
I bought this clock at Epcot Center years ago in a little shop in "Germany". I loved walking in there and hearing all the ticking. It was actually soothing.
One of my favorite nighttime teas. I drink other teas with chamomile in them but, for some reason, this one in particular always makes me sleepy earlier than normal. I couldn't drink it while I was reading Hunger Games because it would just make me mad when I'd have to stop reading.
After hearing me talk so much about the Hunger Games, Matt thought I might like this book. It's no Hunger Games. This is sci-fi but I can see why it occurred to him to mention it. It's also about kids being sent to battle. It wasn't bad but I feel it's a "guy" book. There were only 2 female characters in the entire thing.
I found this new app in the iPhone store called Instagram. It's not as cool as Hipstamatic but it still does some neat things. Basically, it's just a bunch of filters and I think a lot look the same but there are a few that I like. I've been playing around with it. This is just my hand on my knee.
One of the things I'm going to add to my bathroom is a photograph in a white frame. I want to use one of the ones my friend, Catherine, took at our wedding but I haven't decided which one. What do you think? I like this one because it shows the whole scene...but Gee looks a little weird.
This was how my boring bathroom has looked for the last 4 years. I guess I was used to it so I just let it slide. Last week, however, I suddenly had a major urge to redo it. The ultimate plan is to install a new tiled shower but we can't afford that right now so I'm painting and re-accessorizing. No matter what, it will have to look better than this.
Paul and Neva came down to help us with our garage sale. They helped us last time also and I don't know what we would have done without them. There were a LOT of people this year and we sold a lot of stuff so I was happy.
