August 26
Feels great to be home! Matt and I went out to dinner at Souplantation tonight. There was this old woman near us who had a platter full of soup bowls. I snapped this shot when she got up to refill her drink. The weird thing is that she didn't have any soup! Each soup bowl was filled with something different. She had some olives in one and cucumbers in another, etc. It was like she created a Souplantation bento box.

Met my old roommate, Mario, and his family tonight. He and his fiance, Tania, just had a baby named Joaquin. He is about 4 months old and is adorable. They're getting married in Key West in November and I really want to go. Fingers crossed that we can afford it!

Another bad scan of one of my slides from photo class. I actually really like the look of this image. It was an experiment in "pushing" where you underexpose the image and then overdevelop it. I thought it turned out pretty cool.

I'm in LA this week for work and absolutely nothing of note happened today
so I'm digging into my past. This is a bad scan of a slide I took in one of my
photography classes at Santa Monica College back in the day.
