This photo is from a trip Matt and I took in 2004. This was the highlight of the trip. It was crisp out but not freezing cold. The sun was going down and it was just magical to skate around this rink, holding hands, looking at the old buildings and colorful trees surrounding us. It was probably one of the best times I've ever spent in New York.

I'm swamped with work this week so I probably won't be taking any photos, thanks to my 10 hours workdays. However, since next Sunday is the 10th anniversary of 9/11, I thought I'd share some photos from my trips to New York over the years.
This first one is from 2001, only about 43 days before the attacks. I had won a few free nights in a suite at the Trump International (where this photo was taken). Boy, I was skinny then!

I've walked by this house for years and it always had a nice fountain going in front with a cute English garden. Then, today, it looked like this. I can't believe the homeowner's association let them get away with pink. I like the color pink normally but I'd get sick of looking at this house if this was my neighbor.

Feels great to be home! Matt and I went out to dinner at Souplantation tonight. There was this old woman near us who had a platter full of soup bowls. I snapped this shot when she got up to refill her drink. The weird thing is that she didn't have any soup! Each soup bowl was filled with something different. She had some olives in one and cucumbers in another, etc. It was like she created a Souplantation bento box.
